Hiiumaa champagne bar Kork has opened a new chapter in Tallinn Old Town.
Since June, Kork restoran-brasserie has been operating at Suur-Karja 5 in Tallinn Old Town, replacing the former café-restaurant C’est La Vie.
The name change reflects the wish to bring Kork’s current identity to Tallinn Old Town – a modern brasserie where good food, wines, champagne and a pleasant atmosphere come together. Kork continues the story that began on Hiiumaa and connects it with one of the most distinctive restaurant settings in Tallinn Old Town.
The interior design by legendary Estonian designer Maile Grünberg remains part of the space. Kork adds to it a warm atmosphere inspired by Hiiumaa, friendly and caring service, a fresher concept and new energy.
During the summer season, guests can also enjoy a “secret” green courtyard, perfect for lunches, dinners, as well as company and group events.
The menu brings together French classics and ingredients from Hiiumaa. Among the highlights are ide cutlets, which have become something of a Hiiumaa national dish. The drinks list includes Hiiu beer, OUK aquavit and gin, while soft drinks from Kassari offer refreshment on warm summer days. During lunch, guests can read the latest news from Hiiu Leht and browse the Hiiumaa tourism catalogue – like a small Hiiumaa embassy in the heart of Tallinn.
Kork is a great place for welcoming guests, enjoying a pleasant lunch or dinner, or simply spending a moment with good food, wine and champagne in Tallinn Old Town.
P.S. Guests from Saaremaa are also very welcome!
Kork is open Sunday to Thursday from 12.00 to 22.00 and Friday to Saturday from 12.00 to 23.00.
